Dr Neeta Prbhu, Paediatric DentistDr Prabhu is a board registered Specialist Paediatric Dentist holding appointments with Westmead Centre for Oral Health, Sydney Dental Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She is the Head of Subject Area at The University of Sydney.
Education and Professional Background
Neeta completed her Master of Dental Surgery in Paediatric Dentistry from India, and moved to the UK where she initially worked at King’s College, London. She then successfully went on to complete an MPhil from The University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. After heading to Sydney in 2002, she became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. She joined Westmead Centre for Oral Health and The Faculty of Dentistry in 2002.
In her primary role as a senior staff specialist within the WSLHD, she is responsible for providing a high standard of oral health care to patients with complex medical and or oral health needs. Clinically, her areas of interests include early prevention, dental trauma, restorative dentistry and managing children with special needs and dental phobias. She is currently in private practice at Albury, NSW and Blacktown Specialist Dental Care.
